Detachable, contrast collar long sleeve shirt. 100% cotton, soft twill fabric with 2 tone effect, provides a classic look. More than 150 years ago Mrs. Lord, in Troy U.S.A., snipped off the collars of her husband shirt, as that was the only part that required washing. As a result the detachable collar was created, even though the first one was sewn back on again. We make the process easier by using 5 individually etched mini Mother of Pearl buttons. Of course with the collar removed you will have a nice relaxed "grandad" collar shirt option. The front fastening utilises the full size, individually etched, mother of pearl buttons providing a subtle individuality to each shirt, but just in case we have provided a small secret pocket, on the inside of the shirt, containing a sewing kit with a couple of spare buttons. The spare pocket is available to store anything else that you think you may need in an emergency.
